DOES EVERY GRAPHIC NOVEL NEED A MOVIE NOW??...alright this film is based on yet another DC graphic novel written by Warren Ellis. This film stars Bruce Willis as a ex black ops agent who has to get his old team back together because someone is killing them off one by one..it has a pretty powerful cast which consists of greats like BRUCE WILLIS(DIE HARD, THE KID),MARY LOUISE PARKER(WEEDS), MORGAN FREEMAN(BRUCE ALMIGHTY, ELECTRIC COMPANY), JOHN MALKOVICH(MAN IN THE IRON MASK, BEING JOHN MALKOVICH), HELEN MIRRAM(SHE DOESNT PLAY ANY SORT OF QUEEN IN THIS ONE), CHRIS OWENS(L.O.T.R.,STAR TREK),AND RETIRED ACTOR RICHARD DREYFUSS(JAWS,CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, PIRHANA 3D). The film is "CUTE" and is aimed mostly for the elder retirees..the jokes are very old man DANNY GLOVERISH TO OLD FOR THIS SHIT LETHAL WEAPON STYLE...if your over the age of 55 this movie is one for you. The action is pretty fast paced but the writing isnt..John Malkovich gives his usual LSD burnout performance ...Willis could just be called John McCLAIN again..and DREYFUSS just needs work... I did find that every actor in this film has a great new set of porcelain veneers ...which makes for beautiful Chiclets smiles

MONEY WELL SPENT...watching this movie is like going to a high school reunion...seeing the old knuckleheads you trolled around with day in day out for the first time in years..its everything you want from the JACKASS guys..you will cringe in pain, you will gag, and you will laugh your ass off ...also this by far is the best use of the new 3D technology yet..the 3d totally beats AVATAR.. and im not making jokes...im sure there are vaults of takeouts that will keep these guys paid for years.. the film does have some dragging parts but the up parts make up for them..
not much to say about this movie cuz you know exactly what to expect... go give these guys your money cuz i really don't think theres gonna be to many more JACKASS movies ..times takin its toll
YEAH!!! this movie falls under the "cute" file..its a student film gone good..this film is about four guys that decide they all will celebrate each ones lose of virginity by partying with hits from a sacred bong...three of them lost there v cards except for one goofy kid named Matt who is determined to loose his before its to late..its footage is the stuff that makes being a teenager the best time of your life..crazy parties..crazy antics..and the thought patterns of the idocracy of what is and what was and what will always be..the film is done gorilla style hidden cameras ,running Blair witch camera shots and poor editing..but funny in all the right places and also gives a great message that only the homies can understand...it proves that the woman r correct we men only have our brains in one spot... Directed by Huck Botko whom is no one .. the cast is the real kids playing themselves.. please pay close attention to the hotel manager he is absolutely fantastic the funds for this movie came from Mr. Will Farrell so if that doesn't speak for itself i dont know what does...

M. Night Shyamalan NEVER FAILS AT ....FAILING... This movie is another M. Night Shyamalan film that really doesn't live up to the hype...sorry m i think your reign of trickery ended with unbreakable...u have single handily destroyed everything that is good about Hitchcock style film making..sure your scenes of pure darkness with crazy noises were scary but when the lights came back on the scary was gone...the acting was ok but not very impressive..no real actors in this piece because i think Hollywood is finding out M. Night is only making movies because hes using his own money to make them NO MORE MARKIE MARK NO MORE BRUCE WILLIS...the trick is i keep going back to the theater and giving this fool my money...but no more after this i truly boycott M.Night..if this had been a J.J. Abrahms movie it might have actually been scary...there are no tense moments at all (except in the dark)...if you saw the preview then you've seen the movie ...the twist is very predictable ....its lame..i don't even want to finish the review...its pointless....don't go see this movie...wait and rent it at ur local redbox for a buck...or skip it all together...
This was ......AWESOME...WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY ROBERT RODRIGUEZ (DESPERADO,FROM DUSK TIL DAWN, SPY KIDS)STARRING........DANNY TREJO(THE BAD ASS MEXICAN GUY WITH REALLY BAD SKIN AND A TATTOO OF SOME LADY ON HIS CHEST...THE ONE THAT HAS KICKED MAJOR ASS IN EVERY MOVIE SINCE 1983) For us film fans we had a taste of Machete a few years back when QUENTIN AND ROBERT brought back olskool grindhouse cinema with DEATH PROOF AND PLANET TERROR...And yes i would have been satisfied paying full price after seeing this movie. Danny Trejo is a bad mutha trucker....still...and this film had a message which was well written into the script the action is intense the acting was actually surprising..just bad enough in all the right places... a fabulous return for Steven Seagal(movies no one cares about any more) as the bad guy. expected cheese but actually got a bad guy performance. But the real prize goes to Don Johnson(MIAMI VICE THE TV SERIES, AND SOME OTHER CRAP) so amazing as the head of border patrol..we also get Robert Deniro(TAXI DRIVER, MEET THE FOOCKERS) giving his usual lazy crooked guy performance, not bad but a bit lazy, you get some Michelle Rodriguez(AVATAR, FAST AND FURIOUS) looking all sexy in her black bra and eye patch shooting everyone, Cheech Marin(REALLY DO I NEED TO LIST HIS MOVIES? DON'T U ALREADY OWN THEM?) as the priest with a lot of weapons, Jeff Fahey(THE LAWNMOWER MAN)and the kid who played Junie in SPY KIDS as a Mexican adopted kid... oh crap i forgot to mention a semi nude JESSICA ALBA and for the real greasy guys out there a completely nude LYNDSEY LOHAN for 90% of her screen time...i think it was meant to be campy but came off as creepy. i didn't need to see her boobs floppin around all over...that's the little girl from parent trap... come ON man!!! quick scene of some side boobie but not the whole PACKAGE THE WHOLE film...oh sorry ...it just seemed awkward to me. This movie IS non stop grindhouse style gore and action..sword fights , fist fights, cars, guns, nekkid folks, blood, chaos, crap blowing up everywhere, Danny Trejo.
seriously if you got love for GRINDHOUSE or RODRIGUEZ style cinema this is for sure the film for you...if you are a angry Mexican guy or girl who loved DESPERADO or just is pissed at some white guy for shooting your bother-in-law at the border this film is for you...if yea love watching child stars exploited for a quick buck this film is for you..this movie is crazy messed up ..but extremely entertaining.

A good friend of mine invented a new word that i believe describes this film perfectly "FUNGAZUM".. This movie is based on the best selling graphic novel SCOTT PILGRIMS PRECIOUS LIFE..it stars the most annoying, lamest, actor of our time..the one dimensional Michael Cera(SUPERBAD, YEAR ONE) and yes he plays the exact role in this movie as he does in ALL his movies but its what he does well...i wasn't impressed by his performance at all cuz it is the same ..its the film making aspect of it all that kicked my ass..its very 1970s style BATMAN special effects ..BAM!!! SMACK!! POW!!..This film also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead(LIVE FREE DIE HARD,DEATH PROOF), Jason Schwartzman(RUSHMORE,SLACKERS), And Kieran Culkin as the gay roommate which in my eyes acted straighter than the lead straight role....the movie is about a dorky dude in a cool band that falls madly in love with the girl from his dreams but to win her love he must defeat her 7 EX'S.. which happen to be some very fun cameos...the movie is visually stunning and the writing is alot of fun...THIS IS A DATE NITE MOVIE though its Corney in everyway its lovable and will become a instant classic for this generation...

Oh man ...this is the film that is going to revive alot of careers and is for sure the kick off to a brand new franchise that will give a bunch of 80s has beens the work they need.I had a little fear of it within the first fifteen minutes due to a very unexplainable version of STALLONES face..But other than that this film is full of useless action from beginning to end. Fights scenes galore, shoot outs that kill everyone but the main stars, damsel in distress, bits of comedy, great one liners and alot of hope for the future of action film making..STALLONE leads a group of old hit men that take on a mission to save someone from something... OH MAN!!! TALK ABOUT A FUNGAZUM...This is the film I've been waiting for all summer. This remake of a classic 70's Jaws rival kicks more ass than RED VINES AND MR.PIBB. This is the film that every 15 year old+ will be talking about in school and work. It stars Karate Kid's love interest Elisabeth Shue as the towns sheriff, Ving Rhames as the bad ass black guy with a hint of gay, one of horrors finest story tellers Eli Roth, and Jerry O'Connel in a role that knocks Ben Afflecks performance in Phantoms to dust...its an awesome, stressful, horror throw back..packed with everything you'd expect from a remake of classic crap. Theres enough T'N'A in this film to make Hugh Hefner blush, enough gore to make Freddy jealous and cameos that just rock...the first fifteen minutes sets the greatness of this movie straight out...so if your into having a great date nite with buttloads of fun this is the film..ladies your man will be huddling close as possible to u shaking in fear...

O.K. THIS WAS NO MARMADUKE.... This is new director Brad Peytons first attempt on a major film... Once again its cats vs. dogs in a take over the world plot..Great voice over work done by James Marsden (XMEN, DEATH AT A FUNERAL) Nick Nolte (48 HOURS, HULK) Bette Midler (BEACHES, FIRST WIVES CLUB) Christina Applegate (MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS SQUEEKAL) and the films true savior Katt Williams... the special effects are cute, the story is pretty basic Kitty Galore is a evil cat seeking revenge on all dogs and decides to build a satellite dish that will send a signal around the world to make all dogs turn on their owners and of coarse the dogs have to stop her before its to late..there are some great film homages throughout this film including a brilliant opening number very reminiscent of the classic JAMES BOND opening credits..its great for the kids ..boys and girls alike..its a fun afternoon adventure..couple surprise cameos in there also..

I LIKED THIS MOVIE!! This movie is one of those greats that grow on you the more u think about it. It stars Paul Rudd (I LOVE YOU MAN, ROLE MODELS) and Steve Carell (40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, DATE NIGHT) with great appearance from Zach Galifianakis (HANGOVER, G-FORCE). The movie is about a group of prestige executives that have a secret dinner once a year to see which of them can bring the biggest idiot. Paul Rudd plays his usual role of awkward guy trying to move up the cooperate ladder and also struggling to find love..he ends up hooking up with Steve Carell whom happens to be one of the biggest idiots ever..he also does beautiful art using the dead carcases of rats found in alley ways... the direction for this film is brilliant, Jay Roach (BORAT, MEET THE FOCKERS) always has great comedic timing with his films and the actors all deliver perfectly..this film does have alot of drag time but when its rolling it rolls..many of the jokes are quick and don't sink in til moments later..its got a little for everyone ..it is sweet and lovable til the last minute...
If you don't find this movie funny then you didn't get it...go see it again..

ITS DUMB AND DUMBER MEETS ROXANNE...A BRILLIANT COMEDY OF ERRORS...
K welcome to the new Matrix oh wait...no its the new version of Wizard of OZ..no its just confusion from hell..your alive no your dead no its a dream no you got shot but you didn't no we're skiing no we're running no......this movie takes two times for it all to sink in and don't even try to make sense of it while your watching it ...it'll just blow your mind tooooo much..yes this film is alot like others but it is actually pretty good the more u think about it after the fact..its one of those things your talk about around a camp fire or in the middle of a nerd meeting..i found the casting to be the most distracting thing about this film ..Leonardo Di Carp-io does his usual safe performance alot like his in the film noir Shutter Island the same role from departed the same ol..but then he's paired up with independent film icon Ellen Page (JUNO, WHIP IT) which i could forgive until my man Joseph Gordon-Levitt (3rd Rock From the Sun) yeah that kid shows up..i guess he's "up and coming film star"...what the hell?? and then you throw in has beens Tom Berenger(Sniper series and Platoon) and Lukas Haas(Mars Attacks and Witness)then a dash of film royalty Michael Caine ..i just couldn't get what caliber of acting they were shooting for... the film is written by the great Christopher Nolan who brought us the rebirth of the Batman franchise and Memento..all in all this film is pretty entertaining and worth the $20 to go see it ..it for sure gets those brain fluids churning ..not for kids under 15 cuz they just wont have the brain power to follow it..
SORRY KIDS ...been slacking a little on the reviews but here's a few more.. DESPICABLE ME...this was a cute film about a supervillain who adopts three young girls to help him battle a fellow villain in a race to steal the moon...once again the animation was great, the writing was clever with just enough fart and butt jokes to keep a 8 year old completely content..Steve Carrell plays the lead villain named Gru who looks a bit like Alfred Hitchcock...Jason Segal as Vector the other villain who is the total Revenge of the Nerds dude...the story is written by Disney alum Sergio Pablos who wrote great such as Tarzan II, Stuart Litte 3 and Treasure Planet..its sweet, fast paced and packed with cool...if your kids run between the ages 5 to 13 they will love this..little to mushy for the parents and older teens..for if forced to sit thru it they wont be to disappointed..the soundtrack alone is worth the visit ..great title track by hip hop great PHARRELL..

OH WOW!!.O.K. i really wasn't expecting much with this one at all. But i hate to say it ...i was pleasantly surprised..Nicolas Cage (the Rock, Face Off)plays Master sorcerer Balthazar Blake a apprentice to Merlin who has to search for the "golden child" of magic which is played by new dork actor Jay Baruchel (Shes Out of my League,Tropic Thunder)to help save the world from the evilest of evils..this movie is great for the whole family...might have some pretty tense scenes that might freak out the 5 and under crowd but everyone else will like it..its filled with suprises that are unexpected, which i think helps this movie stand outside of the rest of the cookie cutter summer movies..cool car chases,fancy fight scenes and lil romance..the writing isn't great but it is at least fast paced and fun and different..you really didnt know what was going to happen next...Nick Cage does a great job of playing the Doc Brown of Sorcerers..Alfred Molina (Raiders of the lost Ark, Spiderman 2)plays the evil sorcerer that is after the magic doll that contains the most evil of evils the soul of a woman whom was imprisoned in the doll thousands of years ago and wants to use it to destroy Balthazar and his new apprentice..the special effects are awesome and the magic is plenty..my son asked to see it again immediately right after the film which is always a good sign. And for the die hard ol skool fans they do play homage to the original animated Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia...very cleverly but no Mickey Mouse cameos... I really can't say anything bad about this movie.

Predators is a pretty deceit attempt to bring it back...there r no real surprises in this one, alot of the same ol same ol....but don't get me wrong i wasn't disappointed..
This installment has a very oddly picked cast i believe due to being directed by Robert Rodriquez(Spy Kids, Desperado and the upcoming Machete). This one stars Academy award winner Adrien Brody(King Kong, The Pianist)Which was a unbelieveible performance of the cool tuff bad ass army guy sent to control everyone with his coolness and tuff man words..(which i must say is the only reason why this movie is rated R..they had to beef up Adrian Brody to make him seem more lead manish "drop those F bombs Brody they'll love that") and i almost bought into it all until he had to take off his shirt...ok im sorry but this didnt make Adrian any manlier..it reminded me of the kid back in high school that weight in at a whole 70 lbs and took the height to 6'7''.. you know the one you used to call STRINGBEAN..the kid that always got picked for skins when playing basketball and because he was so skinney he had to puff up and cuss alot out on the court just to look cool ....Topher Grace(That 70's Show,Spiderman 3) who gave the overall best performance as a dorky doctor in the wrong place at the wrong time (always gotta have that one)Lawrence Fishburne(Matrix, Apocalypse Now)in his absolute laziest...DUDE ..Lawerence what r u doing ? did you quit acting in the middle somewhere?? jesus i know ten years that could do a better performance ..hope u got paid S.A.G. for that... and Danny Trejo(Spy Kids, Desperado)doing exactly what Danny does best...the scary angry mexican guy...and totally kicks ass doing it...the acting was overall 50/50..couple pointless characters that are obvious marked men..like the silent ninja warrior who spoke about five full sentences..but has one of the best fight scenes in the movie...and only one girl in this one, Alice Braga(Crossing Over, I am Legend)whom i think was picked because Michelle Rodriquez was busy already.. It takes place on the PREDATORS game planet..in which rapists, ex-cons, crooked military men and other wrong do-ers are dropped off by parachute on some strange planet, in some strange alien jungle, left to fight to survive while being hunted by the PREDATORS , a plot that has been done numerous times i.e. Condemned, Surviving the Game, AVP..the special effects are just as good as ever...with a few new suprise critters..lil JURASSIC PARKISH with their pointless imagery.. This one is for the die hard fans only or for the guys day out with their boys..if i had taken the wife she would have complained of boredom of having to sit thru this rushed predictible film...and i would somewhat agree, but it was on the other hand very entertaining..the stress factor has worn off alot but its still fun to watch it all play out..im dying for PREDATOR VS. JASON...the film has some clever tie-ins to other great Tarantino/Rodriquez films which also made it kinda fun...but listen close..

OK its had been years since there was any new Indy adventure and finally after all that talk, all those rumors it came true and the genius of LUCAS AND SPIELBERG got together with their top notch posse and busted out another MASTERPIECE...Indiana is a 80's icon...he brought what kept bad ass legends like Rooster Cogburn and Josey Wales alive...moxy....he made men in the 80's thougher or at least fifteen year old boys thougher...we all loved Indiana we all wanted to be Indiana..well a select group of nerds did...all us wimpy kids..well this 4th film i thought was a perfect match to the first three..the alien thing was a little cheesy but so was the Temple of Doom ...its all the stuff you want from a Indiana Jones film...action,comedy,danger,romance...and if u can say u weren't entertained by this movie you need to watch it again...sure they had to put a kid in there ..sure they had to have the monkeys from Jumanji...sure they had to have old man jokes...it was all put together perfectly...now, it does have some odd editing in times, almost tries to rush certain areas of the movie as if to disguise something..but really?? its friggin Indiana Jones!!! and isn't it so weird that Harrison Ford in other movies just looks old and busted like Crossing Over or Extraordinary Measures and in people magazine but when hes Indiana Jones he still has ....something??

Last night i watched Kevin Smiths version of a 80's style buddy cop film Cop Out...starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan...its a bit like Another 48 HOURS or Lethal Weapon homage...the angry white cop and the looney black cop...yes its a black white thing..lol...this story is classic two disfunctional cops who have been partners for 9 years...Bruce Williss characters daughter is getting married and he needs big money to pay for the wedding and the only way to do it is to sell one of his most valuable pocessions...this pocession is stolen from Bruce in a wacky chain of events by PARKOUR theif Sean William Scott{STIFLER}and sold to a mexican crime lord...and Bruce wants it back!!!
the movie is actually really funny..dont expect a jay and silent bob cameo to save the show...because the chemistry between Willis and Morgan is perfect..Sean William Scott gives a great performance being a bigger ass than ever...Kevin Smith could tone the muther f'ers down alot and its not cuz im getting old...i think they cussed more in this two hour film than Sam Jackson has in his whole film career...mutha f'er this muther f'er that and not one yippie kai eh mutha f'er ..NOT ONCE!!!...LOL..little violent at times but not as heavy as a Q.T. film.. This movie is actually entertaining because of its absolute crappiness...its the same thing as last time but with the little differences...like a roy al with cheeze....the acting still totally blows...the angst is just sooooo heavy ..its so hard to be in love with the emo James Dean/Powder looking kid and the totally on fire Passionfruit Sharkboy...look Joan Jett pick onE and get this series overwith ...someone do SOMETHING DIFFERENT...its totally a season finale of Degrassi meets Lost Boys 2...I WANT BLOOD!! not piles and poofs of crystal fairy dust.. what the hell kinda vampires are we dealing with?? and whats up with youz guyz ever changing eye color r they brown or yellow or red ????? and when did werewolves turn into giant hawaiian surfer siberian huskies??? EGGGGGHHHHHHH...GEEEEZ...OK SO..This film is definiately a date night movie..for old people that thought Tom Cruise was just so awesome in Top Gun and Cocktail...Cruise plays a loose cannon that has something that the badguys want...typical spy guy roll ...good cop bad cop, who do i trust movie ..Cameron Diaz plays the cute girl named June (which gets tiring because that single name is repeated throughout the movie a gahjillon times by Cruise). Diaz of coarse is in the wrong place at the wrong time and accidently gets involved in some crazy stuff with cliche bad guys .. and mixed up with cliche crazy nutt-so agent Miller (Cruise)who is the only guy that can protect her ..the movie is so overdone. Its almost as if this was a script out of the giant wharehouse of useless scripts... written in the 80's for Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts...the jokes are cute, Diaz is totally hot in 70% of her screen time and 30% not..Cruise reminds me of the bully dickhead in high school who is beyond DORK COCKY ..With his jackass crooked smile and his ken doll haircut..and keep your damn shirt on noone wants to see your alien body.. Its kinda like his Maverick role...the stunts and action in this film are pretty low key with a ton of green screen shots to give it a more realistic feel.?.millions of automatic rounds fired but no contact made with a human..shooting and shooting and shooting..
This movie is rated PG-13 but definatly not for violence its for the one awkward f-bomb dropped by Diaz character..just so it would appeal more to the youngins having that PG-13 rating..because if your under the age of 17 PG movies are never good.....
Anyway to make a short story long Cruise and Diaz didnt quite pull it off for me on this one...if you are on a date and want to go to a make out movie this is it...long periods of boring chit chat for make out and when that becomes tiring you can take a break for the ten minute action scenes...if this movie was done in the late 70's and starred Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn it would have been a master piece...but it was't
so the record for crappiest summer for movies continues...

Well D.C. COMICS it looks like youll never really hit MARVEL status even in film.. this movie is based of a dc comic from back in my childhood about a cowboy who is wronged and comes back to get his revenge..USUAL CLICHE..Josh Brolin (GOONIES AND W) is however the perfect pick for this role..hes gritty but chiseled enough to pull off the renegade angry cowboy with a soft spot..John Malkovich (GREAT BUCK HOWARD, HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO GALAXY)is brillant as Quinton Turnbill..the wrong do'er.. always a creeper..Megan Fox is pretty to look at but please stop auditioning for movie roles ..i think your place is on Degrassi or Gilmore girls you have no biz-niz being in any more movies...pffft
This movie is like a marriage between the CROW and the Will Smith version of WILD WILD WEST..in a way lightly sprinkled with a STEAMPUNK VIBE...u will root for JONAH but u really wont care about him after the credits role..its forgetable and not worth the ten bucks for a ticket..the acton is pretty tight, cool special effects and gadgets ...but thatll only get u so far...
sorry d.c. comics...heres some advice-- stick to the great characters like BATMAN and SUPERMAN...hopefully u guys can get it back on track with GREEN LANTERN...

So i have a very special place for Toy Story in my heart for numerous reasons..but mainly it was my daughters life support for many years ...she could not live without her Woody and Jesse dolls..she carried them everywhere..everyday for a good five years or more...and we have waited many years for this sequel and let me start by saying thank you PIXAR for doing such a amazing job at bringing these loved ones home... Toy Story 3 is about Andy growing up and moving away to college and the uncertainy of what will happen to his beloved toys...the writing was great and the animation was excellant...we of coarse saw it in digital 3d because is there really any other way..??..this movie will move any age and is worth every penny u pay for it..your kids wont have to go to the bathroom at all thru this almost 2 hour film..the jokes are brillant and nostalgia of some of your own classic toys gives you a soothing familar feeling that rips at your inner child..this movie does have a fifteen minute down time in which most parents might snooze off but it certainly makes up for it in the last hour..it even gets very intense close to the end and may be to much for little ones..almost an indiana jones climatic ending...all in all i loved every sec. i was touched. i laughed. i sat on the edge of my seat. it even made me weep like a lil girl....
thank you hollywood for finally saving the summer movies.. this one will certainly become an instant classic ...

Ok so if you follow PaulyMShore on twitter or facebook then you are very aware that Pauly has been pushing his new movie ADOPTED.. written by Pauly produced by Pauly and starring Pauly..so it was released on dvd this past tues and i had to watch and let u know.... the film is about Pauly realizing that perhaps he has missed out on a major thing in life never having children. He decides to follow in the footsteps of fellow african baby collectors MADONNA and ANGELINA and travels to africa to find a baby to ADOPT. I cant say that this is Paulys big comeback film but i cant say its sucks like a stinky poo either..i was entertained and sometimes a little uncomfortable during this film..which i believe was the point..if you are an ol'skool Pauly fan dont expect classic ENCINO MAN Pauly or the SON IN LAW Pauly ..this is real and personal Pauly..the film has a twisted odd heart and a actual sweet full of love message and builds some awareness around poor africa lifestyle (a little nerve racking at times didnt seem to many folks liked Pauly being in africa), adoption and the amount of orphans there really are on this planet.. the jokes are cute but sometimes delivered a little creepy.. the kids were sweet and fun to watch ... i have to say some of the quick comebacks and one liners will be repeated amongst us film nerds for days to come "the body of Beyonce and the head of a midget.."..lol and many more..
Pauly still has a inner "weasel" but holds it in for this film.
if ur looking for something to rent for a little cheer up or lite hearted entertainment ...or u just missed Pauly Shore then run out and get ADOPTED.. dont expect to much but u will at least get a couple laughs and a warm feeling deep inside your dead shriveled heart...
SORRY MR SHORE BUT MCFUNKYFRIED HAS TO GIVE YOUR FILM
ok folks i saw the reinvention of one of americas favorite horror 80's icons....the nightmare on elm street...and well i cant say they murdered it but they really didnt make it any better...though the orginal nightmare had me sleeping with my parents at age 14 ...this one will NOT have me sleeping in between mom and dad...the suspense is still in there but knowing the orginal by heart kinda takes the shocks out of it...buuuuutt if your desensitized kids have never seen the original they will be on edge throughout...its a brillant retelling of the classic tale and a great way to introduce the youngsters to one of the classic horror stories ever written by wes craven...Jackie Earle Haley (the stoner kid on the motorcycle in the orginal Bad News Bears) does a great performance as Freddy Kruger but is lacking some of the classic charm Robert Englund gave the character...dont fix it if it aint broke...Kyle Gallner the kid from Jennifers body and Haunting in Conneticut does pretty good also in the Johnny Depp role...the new scream king..the rest of the cast does a decent job but how hard is it to play scared as hell...the story is the same with just a pinch of change and a little more of Krugers back story...i think this film gets an A+ plus for the tech part ...the sound is trippy...Freddys voice echoing through the theater was pretty choice ... i loved the classic scenes refilmed..the lighting in this film was beautiful i love the classic red and green it gives it a very eerie familar feeling.....sooooo....Michael Bay im not sure how many more classics your gonna try to retell but please STOP here...im gonna have to give this remake 3 outta five stars...only go matinee ..if even at all...this film will be on dvd probably late june...so wait....or take the kids...
oh dear god kill hollywood....ok this has to be the biggest let down in awhile ....one of the most anticipated films the summer and i feel like crying....dude wheres the action could the villian be anymore easier to defeat??? what the hell is up with Mickey Rourkes face ...dude seriously ..and geez what a tough role for him...a total of maybe fifteen lines....and his fingers.. are they real????...this story is tired the acting was o.k.......Terrance Howard may have made a good choice not showing up for this one ... but come on folks.. Don Cheadle..he is a great actor but a little to fem to play the role of War Machine...Scarlett Johanson does a great job of Black Widow but i think her beauty is what really made it worth watching and could carry a film of her own ...Sam Jackson ...still the man.....holy crap i thought D.J. AM was dead....and the clever tie-ins to the Avengers movie still adds hope to this franchise...the best part of this movie was the preview for Steven Speilberg/J.J. Abrahms Super 8....sorry Faverreau the fire is out....go back to hanging out with Vince Vaughn..please god if they must make Iron Man 3 have a pro do it...sorry kids but i give this movie ...one outta five stars..and the one is just a gift...
also there is something at the end of the credits and if your a real nerd its worth waiting for....
oh my gawd.....what is going on ????is this really happening...why is hollywood insisting on destroyin everything that is sacred....there was nothing that thrilled me with this one either...special effects were pretty cool but a little over the top...no action scenes ...no romance..no nothing...cant seem to stay awake...booorrrrrriinnnngg.....Benecio del Toro is a brillant actor gone to waste on this...its dark dry and dull....Sir Anothony Hopkins couldnt save it ....theres no cute girl ... i feel nothing for these characters and well .....it should have just never been....now folks i know it would seem that most of my reviews have been pretty negative and harsh but....hollywoood is sucking....thought id even give iron man 2 another go just because people have liked it ...maybe it was the mood i was in... but i was right the first time it still sucked....clash of the titans sucked, elm street sucked, iron man 2 sucked and now wolfman can join the suck team also .help us Mr.Speilberg help us if i have to watch crap all summer i could sure use some old skool speilberg feel good crap..Dan what r u working on we need something fast...if the summer continues like this im going to quit my job buy a chainsaw and go cut down the hollywood sign .......

so we just saw SHREK THE FINAL CHAPTER...which we know damn well that this will not be the last time we see shrek......ok so this really wasnt bad for what it was.#4.....the story was cute and it was a clever way to role out yet another movie with alllll the same characters in it...there is really nothing special about this movie but its nice to finally see shrek and donkey doing something different opposed to the same first three movies playing at our house over and over....i still got alot of love for these characters and i was not let down....it has however lost a bit of the magic the first two had ....i definitely liked it much more than the third....the animation is once again amazing with alot of suttle details.. textures etc...there is more soul in their eyes than before...not alot of jokes in this one but has moments....3-d is the only way to see this ...and kids will sit thru it without having to goto the bathroom every ten minutes...so finally i am pleased with a summer movie.....

it didnt blow me away but it didnt bore me either...
so today has been a day from hell...im suffering from a nasty flu that has kicked my a$$ for three days now and my wife is on a much deserved vacation so i got to handle the biz around here between chuckin (u know u wanted to hear about it) anyway today was my sons best friends bday party which we had to cut early due to some ghetto kid messin with my daughter and some ghetto mom trying to get in my face ...well to make a short story long bubbz got very upset so we decided to spend 25 bucks to go see a movie i had really no desire to go pay for..it was a terrible day and i really didnt want to lay dying at some sucky movie about a talking dog.....well guess what!!! it was the highlight of the day and a total suprise...it was actually very funny and very entertaining..i was honestly floored as to how good it was...i wasnt disappoint at all ...Owen Wilson does a great job ..the writing wasn't bad becuz what can u really do with a movie about a newspaper comic strip... the jokes were great the animals were amazing ..filmed with great animal actors... just a really fun funny movie that even moms and dads will like...great music to...Fergie was probably the least exciting part of the film...but if your looking for a cute funny film to brighten your crappy day this is it...better than Garfeild wayyyy better than Chipmunks and just a step below Shrek the fourth...blew 25 and worth every penny.

So i had the privilege to see Jim Carrey doing what Jim does best...most folks wont like this film i dont think..at least the homophobes that love jim carrey and his movies wont..jim plays a con man whos whole life is pretty much a complete everyday lie until a tradegy happens so we think that ends up putting his character in a interesting life changing situation..Ewan Mcgregor plays Jims love interest ...thats right i said love interest..and does a fine job of it..its hard to write anything about this film without giving up any vital plot suprises..it was a different movie that i found very amusing ..for sure in my book one of jim carreys best performances ...so if u love jim carrey and arent afraid of watching guys "love one another" this movie is worth the hunt..its a rollercoaster of odd emotions, great performances, and no boring moments and totally hypnotising because you really have no idea what will happen next...very creative and i guess based on a true story...not really sure way this film is so under the radar but hey whatever....

Well ....it was enjoyable but i probably could have waited for rental...its directed by Joe Carnahan (NARC,SMOKING ACES)whom attended the university of solano ...He does his usual bangem up Michael Bey impersonation ...great action scenes filled with chaos and disorder with tasty dashes of comedy..far fetched escapes that almost make the motionsickened sick...the cast was chosen very carefully ..putting Liam Neason (TAKEN AND KRULL)as Hannibal, Bradley Cooper (HANGOVER AND THAT CRAPPY MOVIE HE DID WITH SANDRA BULLOCK) as FACE, (UFC'S) RAMAGE as B.A.Baracus and Sharlto Copley (DISTRICT 9) as the nutty Murdock...the cast has the exact chemistry needed to pull this off...the writing is typical as if written for a season finally back in the 80's pretty predictible...and did i mention Jessica Biel looking hot as usual...??
this film is exactly what us 80's kids should expect from a remake of a tv show that had characters we all pretended to be...its fun.. full of jokes and action but not quite worth your hard earned money...for parents who r wondering weither to take the kids.....its language filled (no f bombs )plenty of hard core shits and damns but minimal blood shed....
i give this film 2 outta 5 stars and those two r only for the casting....
