SORRY KIDS ...been slacking a little on the reviews but here's a few more..
DESPICABLE ME...this was a cute film about a supervillain who adopts three young girls to help him battle a fellow villain in a race to steal the moon...once again the animation was great, the writing was clever with just enough fart and butt jokes to keep a 8 year old completely content..Steve Carrell plays the lead villain named Gru who looks a bit like Alfred Hitchcock...Jason Segal as Vector the other villain who is the total Revenge of the Nerds dude...the story is written by Disney alum Sergio Pablos who wrote great such as Tarzan II, Stuart Litte 3 and Treasure Planet..its sweet, fast paced and packed with cool...if your kids run between the ages 5 to 13 they will love this..little to mushy for the parents and older teens..for if forced to sit thru it they wont be to disappointed..the soundtrack alone is worth the visit ..great title track by hip hop great PHARRELL..
this film is worth a matinee or dvd rental
